This is more true than I first realized. After we rebranded ConvertKit to @Kit last year the change in the market was incredible. Revenue growth is up substantially and we've landed some massive deals. Perception and branding matter. Just in the 6 months after rebranding we signed Tom Brady, Matthew McConaughey, Dua Lipa, Morgan Freeman, Lil Jon, Deepak Chopra, Ellen, Chef Nick, Stephen Bartlett, and 10,000+ creators who you haven't heard of, but are doing incredible work. And the whole rebrand cost less than 5% of our annual revenue. It's absolutely worth taking the time to get your name right.
Nobody knew Zeit until it became Vercel. Nobody cared about Codeium until it became Windsurf. Nobody loved mopping until P&G created the Swiffer. Nobody cared about processors until Intel chose Pentium over "ProChip." The wrong name kills products. The right name creates billion-dollar companies. GoDaddy have the brand and the network to do big deals without their landers...They've been doing it for years. If you point your names elsewhere, you will get hit hard. For me I think you either have to use their landers or don't use them at all.
GoDaddy is the market right now. It's true. You may make the decision to sell without the help of @Afternic based on priciples. And that's a business decision for you to make. I'm still listing at all major marketplaces to maximize my sales. #4️⃣ Double jeopardy
