Asking price is vanity; sold price is sanity. Right now, that $7,399 is imaginary number. You got paid cash; they got an invoice for renewal fees. Until the wire hits their account, they are just holding a liability. You took the liquidity. You won.

It's not possible to optimise your path in this game without collecting your own data, and keeping it tidy. I'd prob say it's the most important thing new domain investors should be doing and building into their workflow/habits. It's tough to direct your spending and energy efficiently on gut feeling alone. And that's where Metrics, KPIs and Goals will help you.

But insights won’t happen without analysis - so it’s equally important to take the time to understand the patterns within your own portfolio. Write your own analysis report at least once a year, even if you don't share it with anyone. The act of writing creates clarity and has always helped me understand ways in which to experiment and grow.

As a beginner, I also found sharing my thinking with others over time become a vital part of my own journey. It's not easy sharing data or insights openly - the transparency brings vulnerability and invites competitors to copy your ideas. But it also opens opportunities to new conversations and different perspectives - which leads to additional feedback loops and greater opportunities to learn from others.
